BOSS SOUNDS REGGAE FESTIVAL 2008

Newcastle is hardly the first place that comes to your mind when you think of reggae, but the annual Boss Sounds Festival constantly gathers some of the biggest names in the genre for this two-day festival.

Several venues around the city get a taste of Jamaica in the warm month of November with authentic Jamaican food and reggae DJs filling local café-bars. Ken Boothe, Prince Buster, Max Romeo and Trojan Soundsystem have all brought the sounds of Jah to the north, so expect artists of a similar ilk this year.
