COHESION LIVE 2006

The first ever Cohesion Live promises to be a highlight of the North West's autumn calendar, as well as an historical occasion. Ever since 1999, when the concept was born in a Mancunian pub, a bunch of volunteers have been working to support the Kosovan people and help them rebuild their lives following the brutal ethnic cleansing campaign in the Balkans.

Ever since 1999, when the concept was born in a Mancunian pub, a bunch of volunteers have been working to support the Kosovan people and help them rebuild their lives following the brutal ethnic cleansing campaign in the Balkans.

Proceeds from the one-day festival will help towards completion of the Peace Park, in Kosavo, to provide a landmark for those evacuee families who, having sought refuge in Manchester, have since returned to their homes and wish to commemorate their time in the north west city.

With special guest headliners, there are home-grown stars and stalwarts of the music scene, such as Badly Drawn Boy, Elbow, I Am Kloot and Durutti Column.

A second stage will be curated by the pioneering High Voltage Sounds featuring newer acts to the Manchester scene.less
