A far more laid-back and sedate affair, picnics, candels, and fireworks set the mood alongside performances from artists, theatre productions, and orchestras, all catering for a more 'grown-up' market than its mammoth namesake.

The event has grown in stature and profile in recent years, buoyed by big performances from the likes of Nigel Kennedy and Joss Stone.
