The UK Festival Awards
United Kingdom | |
22 April 2008
The UK Festival Awards (UKFA), running since 2004, are the only awards body specifically dedicated to the UK and European Festival Industry.
Voted for entirely by the British public, the Awards have unique and special appeal to the industry, press and media as a barometer of taste and a vehicle for positive consumer-driven change within the live music and festival industry.
The live event has previously paid host to appearances from the likes of Iggy Pop, Faithless, McFly, The Levellers, Scouting for Girls, Michael Eavis, Melvin Benn, The Cuban Brothers and Nate James among others.
Over the last 4 years the awards have successfully generated publicity worth over £1 million AVE (including coverage on ITV, The Independent, The Guardian, The Daily Star, Music Week, Audience, BBC Radio, BBC Online) and they have even been saluted in the Scottish houses of parliament.
