Glastonbury 2002 - the road divides!

Glastonbury will
always hold a special place in the hearts of hundred's of thousands of people who have spent time at Worthy Farm during the
last weekend in June over the past three decades. Of those who have come to worship at the altar of the Spirit of Festival,
there are many, many thousands who will freely admit to having gained access to this holy of holies through holes in the fence
and gaps in the security. 2002 is the time for anyone who might be thinking of following in these footsteps to stop and think
twice...for 2002 is the year when the path to the future divides.
Mapped out in front of us are two winding roads.
To the
left, the path descends into gloomy places. No light shines on the traveller as he makes his way through successive future
Summers. Down this path the Glastonbury magic is a broken spell, a piece of folklore that becomes a hazier and further off
memory as the traveller gets farther away fom this year's choice of route.
To the right, however, the snaking path climbs gently through sunny glades and open spaces. Fairy-dust glistens
in the trees as the trail bends it's way into Summers still to come - a sure sign that magical forces still flow through the
ley-lines that criss-cross the sacred spaces and hidden corners of these fields of Avalon.
The choice of path will be a choice that arises from
a mass conciousness. This year more than any other a common understanding must flow through the hearts and minds of the ticketless
many - an understanding that future generations will be guided by individual decisions made over this long weekend in June
2002.
To try and breach the defences that have been erected around Worthy Farm this year will be to cast a vote
in favour of the dark path to the left. With every step taken towards the Festival by those without tickets another stone
will be placed in the scales that tip between a future where Glastonbury's light continues to shine and the darker place where
that light is extinguished forever.
This year's defences against the powers of darkness are fearsome and virtually impenetratable. This alone should
keep the future safe and secure. But if, by some superhuman effort a few misguided fools should breach the perimeter then
what joy will they find within the walls? Their seach for Nirvana will be tainted by the stigma of their means of entry -
the truth in their hearts will be there for all to see, as the Spirits that watch over the Festival will cast a permanent
shadow, under which these false supplicants will be forced to pitch their tents.
No ticket in 2002? Stay home!!!
