Super Furry Animals - the Welsh kings of the weird and wearers of Mighty Morphine Power Rangers helmets - found time to give us their thoughts on the Lounge On The Farm atmosphere, Mars and Crowded House...

Virtual Festival: Why did you choose to play here?
Guto: “Looks like a jolly place. We just thought it looked like an interesting little place to come and play.”

VF: And the weather’s been fantastic.
Guto: “Yes we appear to have brought the weather with us, like in that Crowded House song.”

Huw: “I’d like to emphatically point out that we’re not the new Crowded House though!”

Guto: “We seem to be lucky with the weather though.”

VF: Yes, especially considering they have cancelled Fflam due to the weather.
Guto: (Miming Pinocchio nose growing) “Well that’s the dodgiest excuse I’ve ever heard for canceling a festival.”

VF: With all the recent focus on bands and carbon footprints, did you get brought in on a private jet or did you bike it all the way here?
Huw: “I came with my driver, and we landed from Mars about an hour ago. So our carbon impact is more of a universe issue.”

And with that Super Furry Animals were beamed back up to their mothership.
