Groove Armada switch live shows
United Kingdom | |
09 May 2005
The decision was taken after Tribal Gathering was relocated from Leeds to Luton, with
the band unable to perform a live set due to logistical reasons. They will now perform a DJ set at the event. Click here for full details on Tribal Gathering.
Groove
Armada have instead confirmed they will play a full live set, featuring songs from their three albums,
at Lovebox On A Summer's Day. The one-day festival takes place in London's Victoria Park on 23 July,
also featuring headliner Mylo, as well as Unabombers, Joey Negro,
Todd Terry, and more. Click here for full details.
Speaking about the festival's move from Clapham Common, where it's been
located for the previous two years, Groove Armada's Andy Cato said: "We're trying to create a festival
in town, not just dance music in the park. We've brought in the best festival organisers from around the country to create
a genuine atmosphere - a real Glastonbury feel for Londoners.
"There's going to be so much to see and do here,
this time we've got to end the day out there and in amongst it, watching the main stage at our own, independent festival.
There aren't many people who get a chance to do that."
Tickets cost £30 and are available here.
