Entombed to headline Damnation
United Kingdom | |
20 May 2005
They will be joined by grindcore monsters GUTWORM to complete a bill packed with extreme British talent including Gorerotted, Nailed and power metallers Conquest of Steel.
The headline performance will be Entombed's only UK festival date in 2005.
Gutworm's frontman, Neil Hudson, is also looking forward to his band's showing at Damnation Festival.
He said: "We're chuffed to be on this show, and we are looking forward to sharing the
stage with these great bands."
Meanwhile THE INBREDS have been added to the Main Stage bill,
joining the like of Panic Cell and FourWayKill.
Inbreds Guitarist Dean said: "Stone the satanic crow! We are damn chuffed to be bringing the stoner grooves to Damnation Festival. The line-up is great and Entombed are one of the reasons The Inbreds got into this business! It's good to see British talent on the show, there's far too many Yanks and Europeans on the UK festivals. Oh, and we challenge all the other bands to a drinking competition, last band standing wins, and any band that has already played with us knows we rarely lose."
Damnation Festival will take place at Jilly's Rockworld, Manchester, on October 16, 2005.
The full line up for the Terrorizer Stage is; Entombed, Gorerotted, Gutworm, Conquest of Steel, Mercury Rain, Nailed and Dawn Of Chaos.
The confirmed line up for the Main Stage is Panic Cell, FourWayKill, The Inbreds, Forever Never and Allerjen. (Headliners still to be announced.)
