Iceland Airwaves goes Moshi Moshi
Iceland | |
06 September 2005
Last year Moshi Moshi brought over the then little known Hot Chip
who played one of the highlight shows at the festival and have since returned for sell-out gigs.
This year they arrive
at Iceland Airwaves with Australian 8-piece Architecture in Helsinki, Brooklyn trio Au Revoir Simone,
and Swedish Lo Fi Fnk. The three bands will make up the Moshi Moshi night in Reykjavik along with local artists.
Other
acts already confirmed to play are Babyshambles, The Zutons, International Noise
Conspiracy, The Mitchell Brothers, Zoot Woman, and more.
More than 20 Icelandic
bands, the ones that really make the festival interesting, have also just been confirmed, including a few of last year's
highlights Minus, Leaves, Gus Gus, Ghost Digital and Jaguar.

Iceland Airwaves
2005 takes place from 19-23 October in several venues across Reykjavik, including
a last day chill-out gig submerged in the spectacular Blue Lagoon (above). For more information
