Global Gathering goes stateside
United States | |
21 October 2005
The two-day festival will take place on the 18th and 19th of March, and is based on the successful
annual events in England and Ireland that have sold out every year since the first one in 2001.
No lineup details have been released yet, but a combination of world-renowned DJs, local jocks, and live
dance acts is expected.
A spokesman for Godskitchen said: "After the unbelievable
response for our events in the UK and Ireland this year we believed that there were many further cities worldwide that were
crying out for a quality music event for upwards of 30,000 people. We decided that Miami was a prime opportunity for
the first event.
"America has been lacking a festival like Global Gathering for quite some time. Our club in Las Vegas has done really well since it opened two years ago, so this festival is really
just the next stage for Godskitchen in the US."
The two day festival takes place just before the
Miami Winter Music Conference, an industry gathering for dance labels, DJs, execs, and promoters.
It has also been timed to conincide with Spring Break, the notorious party week for students in the US.
