Global Gathering goes metal!

United States United States | | 31 January 2006

The first Global Gathering Miami unfolds over four arenas on Saturday 18 March, in the city's Bicentennial Park.

The Beach Stage will be entirely devoted to rock and metal acts, including Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Alkaline Trio, Rise Against, Rob Zombie and many more.

The Downtown Stage will be predominantly trance, with Sasha & Digweed headlining following appearances on the decks from Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren and more.

House music of various varieties will be spinning in the Biscayne Marquee, with sets by Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, and Roger Sanchez topping the bill.

And the likes of Adam Freeland, Stanton Warriors, Rennie Pilgrim and Evil Nine will be providing the breaks in the Global Beats Tent.

In inaugral American Global Gathering unofficially marks the start of the Miami Music Conference, which annually attracts thousands of DJs, producers, journos and label execs to the Florida city. Tickets for the one-day fest are priced at $55 or $200 for VIP passes.

Global Gathering officially became the UK's biggest dance festival last year after expanding into a two-day event and including more live acts - however, don't expect an influx of metal bands to next year's event! Click here for more on that.
