Dirty Pretty Things for IOW 2006

Carl Barat's new band are the latest act confirmed for the Isle of Wight Festival, which takes place from Friday 9th June until Sunday 11th June 2006 at Seaclose Park Newport, Isle of Wight.

The band - featuring ex-Libertines Carl Barat and Gary Powell plus ex-Cooper Temple Clause bassist Didz Hammond - have been added to the Saturday, joining Primal Scream, Editors, The Kooks, and the 747's, on that day, with the Saturday headline act still to be announced.

The other acts confirmed so far all play on the Friday, and are The Prodigy, Placebo, Goldfrapp, The Rakes and Brighton four-piece The Upper Room (who have also just been confirmed to open the festival). Many more acts will be announced over the coming weeks.

Tickets are on sale now, priced at £85 for the three days (under-12yrs £42.50), and £105 with camping (under-12yrs £52.50), with campervans an extra £60 (per vehicle). Click here to buy.
