29 March 2006
Rock Ness takes place at Mores, on the banks of Loch Ness,
on Saturday, 24 June.
So far the only acts confirmed are Fatboy
Slim, Carl Cox, and Mylo, but expect many more.
Oraganisers hope the
event will attract 20,000 festival-goers, making it one the biggest music events ever to take place in the Highlands.
Visiting the site at Dores, Fatboy Slim (aka Norman Cook) told the BBC he would bring "bling and glamour to
a traditional Scottish scene."
He also said his motivation for coming to
Loch Ness was for "The prospect of seeing the monster."
Cook is famed for the huge free parties he's put on across the world at place such as Brighton
and Rio.
He added that the police would not allow him to stage another gig in Brighton and said the Loch
Ness gig would be a "big and exciting" event. Stay posted for more.
