Snow Patrol on course for Latitude

Lightbody is recuperating at home in Glasgow after the band had to postpone their US tour last week in order to be fully fit for their July UK shows.
There were fears that their performance at Latitude, which the band are headlining with Antony & The Johnsons and Mogwai, could be in jeapordy.
But Snow Patrol's management explained: "Gary has been ordered by a top vocal specialist in America to take a complete rest from singing for three weeks. He is doing exactly as he's told and we expect him to be fully fit for the band's scheduled shows starting in July. There are no plans to cancel any UK dates. US dates have been re-scheduled for September and the European tour for October remains unaffected. Playing live is what the band enjoy most and canceling any gigs, anywhere, is a very last resort."
Mean Fiddler boss Melvin Benn, whose Latitude Festival will be the band's first UK appearance, said: "I am so pleased that Snow Patrol will be fully rested and match fit in time for our Latitude Festival. I'm sure their headline slot on the Friday will set the tone for an incredible weekend of arts and music"
Latitude takes place in the tree-lined green pastures of Henham Park Estate, Suffolk, from Friday 14th July to Sunday 16th July. Tickets are available now here.
