'Huge' Act For End Of The Road

The much-tipped, 29-piece Swedish band, I'm From Barcelona, are the latest act to be added to the first End Of The Road festival, which takes place later this month...

The End Of The Road Festival takes place at the Larmer Tree Gardens, Salsibury, Wiltshire, from 15-17 September, with the BBC already predicting 'fine and dry' weather.

I'm From Barcelona (who are actually from Sweden) will open the main stage on Sunday. Micah P Hinson is also a late addition to the bill.

Other acts playing include Ryan Adams, Semifinalists, Absentee, Guillemots, British Sea Power, Brakes, Ed Harcourt and Badly Drawn Boy. Click here for the full lineup.

The festival will have a subtle Scandinavian theme running throughout, showcasing Nordic bands and having all manner of north European food, drinks and games.

Organiser Sofia Hagberg said: "I’m From Barcelona, with their 29 members, are yet another lovely addition to the Swedish element of the End of the Road Festival.

"My brother Marcus tipped me off about the band early in 2006, but it’s only recently that they became available and, of course, we jumped at the chance to book them.

"They will be opening on the main stage on the Sunday, getting everybody in a jolly good mood and hopefully whistling and singing along!"
