Fatboy Slim For NY Beach Party

| 31 October 2006

Just 20,000 tickets will be released for Big Beach Boutique 3 and only people with a Brighton postcode (BN) will be able to get their hands on them.

In 2002, an estimated 300,000 converged on Brighton Beach when Fatboy Slim played the second Big Beach Boutique with free admission.

One person died after falling off the promenade and revellers were pushed out into the sea due to overcrowding.

But the Brighton-based DJ (aka Norman Cook) has been petitioning the local council ever since with a view to putting on another show, albeit a more controlled one.

He told the Brighton Argus: "I can't believe it is finally happening but it is. I can promise the people of Brighton this is going to be one hell of a show.

"Everytime I have been shopping in Brighton for the past four years at least, once person has come up to me and asked when I'll be doing it again.

"Every time I have had to say I can't because I've been banned. It's such a relief not to have to say that any more."

No details have been released yet concerning ticket price or allocation, other than they will only be available to Brighton residents. Stay posted for more.
