EXCLUSIVE - Metallica Officially Confirm Festival Dates

Metallica will appear at next year's Carling Weekend Reading and Leeds Festivals, and have confirmed dates for Dublin, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Denmark as part of a European tour.

We can exclusively reveal that Metallica will be returning to the UK in 2003. They have officially confirmed a host of dates across Europe. These include Rock AM Ring, Germany (6-8 June), Rock IM Park, Germany (6-8 June), Heineken Jammin' Festival, Italy (13 June), Roskilde, Denmark (26-28 June), and Werchter Rock Festival, Belgium (June 28).

They will also appear at the Carling Weekend Festival, playing at Leeds on 22 August and at Reading on 24 August. Previously suggestions that they were to headline Ozzfest on 1 June are highly unlikely. Irish fans can catch their rock gods when Metallica play Dublin on 21 August.
