The shock news was revealed on 6 Music by Grand Drive, who played a live session for the digital station.
Frontman Danny Wilson said: “Robin Gibb from the Bee Gees, who are an amazing band and a massive influence to us, is reportedly going to make an appearance and if he does we will definitely be part of the back so it will be amazing to do that.”
Danny also revealed that Garth Hudson from The Band was lining up a special show at the Oxford event and they would be joining him on stage.
He said: “Later in the afternoon the special guest is Hudson, who is a total legend. We are lucky enough to be playing as part of his backing band and we will be doing some of our favourite songs - that will be amazing!”
Truck
Festival will also see performances from Idlewild, Pull Tiger Tail,
Brakes and Jack Penate.
