Led Zeppelin to headline US festival

According to today's Daily Mirror, Led Zeppelin will headline this year's Bonnaroo festival which takes place in Tennessee from June 12 to 15, fuelling rumours of British summer dates.

A band insider has allegedly revealed that Robert Plant, previously reluctant to commit to further tour dates after the band's triumphant reunion at the O2, has now had a "change of heart". Although Bonnaroo's organisers have refused to officially confirm the news, the tabloid states that the band are booked to appear.

If the O2 concert proved that the legendary rockers can still work their magic in the controlled environment of their own arena, then the Bonnaroo apperance will test them in the more chaotic setting of a festival. According to the source, a successful result will pave the way for a full tour and, who knows, perhaps a headline slot at Glastonbury two weeks later! Stay posted...
