The Wombats added to Isle Of Wight Festival

The Liverpool band will join headliners Kaiser Chiefs on Friday night's bill.

The Isle Of Wight Festival takes place at Seaclose Park, Newport, from 13-15 June.

Other acts already confirmed include Sex Pistols and The Police, who will headline Saturday and Sunday respectively.

They will be joined by The Kooks, Ian Brown, KT Tunstall, Iggy & The Stooges, The Enemy, Lily Allen, N*E*R*D, The Zutons, Kate Nash, James, The Hoosiers and Scouting For Girls - however none of those acts have been assigned days.

The sold out event is the only major UK festival where all the main acts play on one stage. It was voted 'Best Major Festival' at last year's UK Festival Awards.
