Underage Festival to increase capacity

31 January 2008
The one-day festival, reserved for 18s and under, will take place in London's Victoria Park on Friday, 8 August.
Buoyed by the success of its inaugral outing last year, this summer's event will have room for 7,000 young fans, an increase of 2,000 people on last year.
Tickets are on sale now priced just £22.50 and are available HERE.
Those lucky enough to get in (even press must be in their teens!) can expect the cream of breakthrough new music. Last year featured the likes of Jack Penate, Foals and Scouting For Girls.
The whole thing has been thought up by 16-year-old Sam Killcoyne, who also runs the Underage club nights. A number of partners are in place including Art Rocker, Radio 1 and Converse.
Jason Carter, head of live events at Radio 1 and 1Xtra, said: "Radio 1 are delighted to be returning for the second year to the underage festival. The festival has a great line-up and is building in reputation year on year. It's fantastic to see credible events emerging that cater for the younger end of the audience."
