T In The Park to expand again

12 February 2008
The festival, which takes place at Balado, near Kinross, added a third day in 2007 which meant early arrivals enjoyed
entertainment from Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen and Bloc Party on the Friday.
Scotland’s biggest festival
is taking place from 11-13 July but organisers will allow campers in a day early on Thursday (10) for the first time.
The Radio1/NME stage will now have artists performing on the Friday boosting the amount of opening day arenas increasing
from three to four.
An insider told The Sunday Mail: "The plan to open the campsite a day earlier is to
combat the chaos caused by bad weather in 2007 when thousands of people didn't reach the site in time and there were traffic
queues for miles.
"By opening up the two biggest stages on the Friday night the organisers have shown they're
looking at expanding the festival to become a proper three-day event."
Bands rumoured to be performing
at the event includes R.E.M., Stereophonics, Rage
Against The Machine, Primal Scream and The Chemical Brothers.
The line-up for T
in the Park is set to be announced this Friday (15 February) with tickets going on sale the next day (16).
Keep posted for the full line-up and ticket details.
