Blur announce their first 2003 festival date
United States | |
21 February 2003
This will mark
Blur's first festival appearance without founding guitarist anti-hero Graham Coxon, who, for many, was the
soul of the band. In his place, will be ex-Verve cohort Simon Tong and possibly a second
guitarist. Coxon's controversial ousting made the tabloids late last year.
Blur's new album 'Think Tank', partially produced by Norman Cook, is released
on May 5th with the single 'Out Of Time', coming out on April 14. Blur share the bill on the second day of the Coachella Festival with the Beastie Boys and Queens of the
Stoneage.
