Radiohead confirmed for Glastonbury

25 February 2003
The band
will perform on the main stage on Saturday, June 28th, their first appearance at Glastonbury since 1997's defining, mud-framed
set. They will release the much anticipated new album (with working titles '2+2=5' and 'Are You Listening') on June 9th, with
rumours of a single out on May 16th.
Radiohead recently told the NME that the atmosphere in the band
is "fucking brilliant" compared to the frosty recording sessions for their last two albums 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac, and that
the new songs contain "space and sunshine and energy". You know that time when bands begin to swagger, like when the Stones
got in a groove from '68 to '73? In the last two years, I think we've done that. To me, this record feels like the culmination
of the best bits of 'The Bends', 'OK Computer', 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac'". All of which leaves us wondering... isn't prozac
wonderful?
R.E.M. are also confirmed to headline the first night of Glastonbury with Prince rumoured to appear on the Sunday evening. Stay posted!
