Beatbox star to wow Glastonbury's Park

Stage organiser Emily Eavis has revealed the prestigious Saturday night slot will be filled by an equally jaw-dropping collective, that of beatbox artist Shlomo and the Vocal Orchestra.
While last year's unrehearsed collaborations between UK and African artists was rightly hailed as one of the festival's highlights, it is likely that Shlomo's two-hour session could be just as staggering.
The beatbox genius will go up against hip-hop legend Jay Z, who has been confirmed for the Pyramid Stage, during a two hour set that will include his assembled Vocal Orchestra, plus a number of special surprise guests.
Talking exclusively to Virtual Festivals at Worthy Farm yesterday, Emily said: "We've got an amazing thing which is being planned, the beatboxer Shlomo. He's doing two hours on the Park Stage on Saturday night and it's going to be the best thing ever."
Shlomo has previously performed solo at Lovebox, and with the Vocal Orchestra at last year's Big Chill where he wowed a huge audience with danceable songs made up entirely of vocal noises.
You can watch their sense-defying version of Paul Simon's 'You Can Call Me Al' HERE.
Other plans for The Park, which Emily curates, include several new venues, including the Bumble Inn which is being moved up from the Tee Pee fields, and another interesting sounding addition.
She explained: "We're planning a charity venue which is a bit like a cruiseship but it's a tent and it's going to stop at a different country every day, so we'll have Brazlian music one day and African the next, and it will be hosted by DJs who only play records from charity shops."
Acts so far confirmed for The Park, back for only its second year, include Hot Chip, CSS, The Enemy, Editors, Goldfrapp and The Fratellis.
Emily said: "It's going to be a total mix, everything from hip-hop to folk and acoustic to beat boxing!"
