Headliners and much more for Latitude

Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros and Interpol have been confirmed as headliners for this year's Latitude festival.

Franz Ferdinand will top the opening Friday night on the Obelisk Stage, Sigur Ros headline the Satuday night and Interpol will bring the festival to a close on the Sunday night.

Other acts confirmed to play high up the bill are Elbow, The Breeders, Death Cab For Cutie, M.I.A and Amadou And Mariam.

It has also been confirmed that DJ Huw Stephens will once again be curating the Lake Stage as part of the 'BBC Introducing' programme, which will also stop at Bestival and Glastonbury.

Latitude 2008 takes place at Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk, from 17-20 July. Tickets are on sale now priced £130 for the weekend or £55 per day. Buy HERE.

As well as a full music programme Latitude also boasts a diverse mix of arts, including poetry, literature and comedy with many acts just announced.

The comedy tent sees its strongest line up to date with Bill Bailey, Ross Noble and Rich Hall headlining.

Also on the weekend's bill are Simon Amstell, Russel Howard, Tim Minchin, Phil Jupitus, Otis Lee Crenshaw, Lucy Porter, Andrew Lawrence, Dave Fulton, Ben Norris, Jon Richardson, Dan Atkinson, Jason Wood, Carey Marx, Stephen Grant, Hall Cruttenden and Miles Jupp.

The Music And Film arena will be hosted by Marc Lemarr and will feature performances by Buzzcocks, Eli 'Paperboy' Reed and The Heavy. Audiences will also be able to participate in Q&A sessions with the likes of Richard Curtis during an evening hosted by BAFTA and there will be much more.

The Theatre Arena, which will be the world's first fuel cell powered festival stage, will see plays by the Royal Court Theatre, Nabokov, Factory and the Bush Theatre, as well as comedy productions by Birds Of Britain and Fat Tongue.

The Poetry Arena has proved hugely popular in Latitude's first two years. Performing this time round will be Carol Ann Duffy, Adrian Mitchell, John Hegley and Kieth Moore, Simon Armitage, John Burnside, Attila The Stockbroker, Luke Wright, Daljit Nagra, Aoife Mannix, Joe Dunthorne, Aisle16, Porky The Poet, Teen Angst, Niall O'Sullivan, Joel Stickley, John Berkavitch, Rachel Pantechnicon, Kat Francois, Tim Clare, Ross Sutherland, Chris Hicks, Byron Vincent, Elvis McGonagall, Hovis In Wonderland, Poem Inbetween People, Yanny Mac-Domestic Goddess, Dockers MC, Tim Wells, Nathan Filer, Andy Craven-Griffiths, Hannah Walker, John Osborne, Project Adorno, Mik Artistik, Josh Weller, Tim Turnbull, Paul Mac Joyce and Kate Tempest.

Finally, the Literature Arena will include Vox 'n' Roll, Wordtheatre, Marcus Brigstocke: The Early Edition, Iain Banks, Hanif Kureishi, A L Kennedy, Irvine Welsh, Mike Gayle, Simon Armtiage, John Burnside, Esther Freud, Gautam Malkani, Jenny Colgan, Claudia Hammond, Antonia Quirke, Andrew Clover, Jon Ronson, Bill Drummond, Peter Hook, Stuart Maconie, John NivenJo McGregor, Gregory Normington, Robin Ince's Book Club, Robin Ince's School For Gifted Children with Steward Lee, Jo Neary, Josie Long, Wayne Shepard, Ben Goldacre, Bridget Christie, Martin White and Gavin Osborn.
