Supergrass and The Gossip have also been confirmed for the day-long bash.

Get Loaded In The Park 2008 takes place at Clapham Common, London, on Sunday, 24 August.

More acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks with some big names promised to play over the festival's four stages.

A limited number of 'early bird' tickets, priced £35, will go on sale here at 9am on Thursday and are expected to sell out fast. 

The Happy Mondays, Babyshambles and The Streets have all headlined the event in the past, with bands purposefully picked to fit the ethos of the hedonistic one-dayer.

Iggy & The Stooges should definitely fit the bill after inviting last year's Glastonbury crowd to invade the stage. Will there be a repeat on Clapham Common?
