Beth Orton added to The Big Chill line up
United Kingdom | |
09 May 2008
Beth Orton will be giving a rare acoustic performance accompanied only by multi-instrumentalist Rob Moose of Antony And The Johnsons.
Elsewhere, The Bays will be teaming up with the Heritage Orchestra for a one-off performance, while David Holmes will be performing a rare DJ set.
Rising Swedish pop-starlet Lykke Li will be showcasing material from debut album ‘Youth Novels’ – and first lady of E-Hop Camille will draw the dots between dance music and hip-hop.
In the comedy tent, Adam Buxton of ‘Adam & Joe’ fame and Simon Day from the BBC’s ‘The Fast Show’ will appear courtesy of festival co-curating partners Underbelly, along with award-winning comics in the shape of Richard Morton and Danny Bhoy.
They all join previously confirmed artists such as Leonard Cohen, Thievery Corporation, Hot 8 Brass Band, The Mighty Boosh, Trentemoller, Fat Freddy's Drop and many more
