The Hives & Echo and the Bunnymen for V Festival!
United Kingdom | |
25 March 2003
The Hives, for the uninitiated, are 5 nutters
from Sweden. They got their break from Alan McGee, who spotted them on German TV and decided he rather liked
their style. Which you kind of have to agree with when you check out their sharp suits and explosive music. Un-surprisingly
their single "Hate to Say I Told You So" taken from the album "Your New favourite Band"
catapulted them to the forefront of the UK music scene. They are always a highlight at any festival.
Echo & the Bunnymen return
to V following their last appearance on the NME stage in 1997. They have been touring extensively since the 2001 release of
their 8th album 'Flowers'. Ian McCulloch also joins Feeder to support V
headliners Coldplay on their UK tour in April. Which makes V a bit of a reunion for the 3 bands.
If
you don't want to miss out on what will surely be one of this summer's best festivals, get your tickets now from the Virtual Festivals Ticket Store
before they sell out.
