Lethal Bizzle claims racial abuse at Download

Writing online on Guardian Music Blogs the grime star, real name Maxwell Ansah,
described how he found a banana emblazed with racist remarks on stage during his set.
The rapper wrote: "[I
found] a banana skin, thrown at my feet as I played last weekend's Download festival. On the outside, someone had written
'Bizzle you black c***'."
The comments follow his appearance at the metal and rock festival last
Sunday (15 June) on the second stage, where the London-born MC and his group were bottled for the majority of his 30-minute
set.
Bizzle was the most controversial booking of the weekend with many Download fans airing their
grievances on Internet messageboards. Ansah even claims to have read a forum thread with over a 100 posts discussing how the
rapper was going to be bottled during his performance.
The grime star is not the first act to be bottled at the
festival with My Chemical Romance and Fightstar both receiving similar treatment at previous
events.
