Festival organiser Ricky Magowan has disclosed that 1000 tickets went walkabouts while being couriered from a Ticketmaster
depot in Glasgow.
The loss was noticed When the delivery arrived at the company's dispatch centre in Manchester
and appeared to be damaged.
Organisers, worried that the tickets will find their way into the black market, are
appealing to fans not to buy tickets from touts.
"We are extremely upset that the tickets have gone missing,"
said Magowan, "We are urging fans NOT to buy tickets unless they are from one of our official ticket outlets listed
on our website.
"They would be wasting their money and will be turned away by security if they try and present
the ticket at the event. We have increased security at the event to ensure that ticket holders of the missing passes do not
gain entry to the event.
"We are hopeful that the missing tickets are recovered and are working with Ticketmaster
and Strathclyde Police to try and get to the bottom of it."
Tickets are still available for the festival here.
