John Lydon: 'Isle of Wight Festival is absurd'
United Kingdom | |
01 August 2008
In an interview with the Daily Record the fontman labelled the event, which was voted the Best Major Festival
at the UK Festival Awards last year, as 'orchestrated and absurd', despite it being organised by the Sex Pistols booking agent John Giddings.
Speaking about the festival,
which the reformed punk group headlined back in June, Lydon said: "It is orchestrated deckchair
seating and gay rainbow flag waving. It's very, very absurd."
Sex Pistols are due to headline Live At Loch Lomond this Sunday (3 August).
