Comedy and Silent Disco for Reading/Leeds

In addition to the huge line up of bands, fans at both festivals will be treated to late night entertainment, including comedy and spoken word from the likes of Brendan Burns, Henry Rollins and Jeffrey Lewis.
Organisers have announced that a silent disco will be run in the NME/Radio One stage after the bands finish, with DJs including BBC Radio 1's Bethan Elfyn and Steve Lamacq.
Leeds Festival will see live music beginning on the Thursday night (August 21), with local label Dance To The Radio hosting the BBC Introducing stage. Bands already confirmed include Grammatics, Dinosaur Pile-Up, The Wallbirds, Broken Records and Wintermute.
Both sites will be able to take in entertainment at the Alternative Stage, which will see comedy, spoken word and cabaret from a number of high profile performers. The line up so far looks like this:

Killers, Rage Against The Machine and Metallica are set to headline the festivals
which take place at Little Johns Farm, Reading and Branham Park, Leeds from 22-24
