Oasis to play Manchester 'super-gig'

Noel Gallagher hinted at the band's plans during an interview with BBC News, but stopped short of saying exactly where the gig will take place.

He said: "We've got a super-gig planned next summer. Don't ask me any more questions because I can't tell you what it is.

"If I gave you 500 guesses you'd never guess where it would be."

Oasis have played a number of Manchester venues during their career, including Manchester City's former stadium Maine Road in 1996, and the team's new home, The City Of Manchester Stadium, in 2005.

The band are currently on a UK tour.
