14 October 2008
Fans have now been given a second chance to vote for their favourite festival on the continent from a list of 15 after over
40,000 users cast over 200,000 votes in the first round of voting.
Last year's
winner Exit Festival has made the cut, but it faces stiff competition from two Irish events Castlepalooza
and Oxegen as well as Gurtenfestival and Open Air St Gallen, both from
Switzerland.
The Romanian edition of Creamfields has received a nod ahead of its Malta and Central
European events alongside Festival dello Stretto in Italy, Spain's FIB Benicassim, Poland's
Heineken Open-er and Lowlands in Holland.
Denmark's Roskilde
is in the running alongside Snowbombing in Austria, Spirit Of Burgas in Bulagria, Tignes Fest in France and Norway's HOVE Festivalen.
Fans
now have a week to make a difference and those who have already voted will get the chance to vote again, with their choices
added to the first round of votes.
Those who haven't voted can register and start getting their opinions heard
now. Click HERE to start voting.
Voting closes 20
October.
Festival-goers are also able to vote in a slew of categories including Best Major, Medium, Small,
New and Dance Festivals. They can also choose their favourite acts, songs and moments of the summer.
