Joe Strummer film to premiere at Glastonbury!

The now legendary Acton Town Hall show was a benefit gig for the striking Firefighters, and continued the great Clash tradition of supporting public sector workers; as Joe put it on the night, "Time to get sensible and pay people decent money for doing essential things". He died of a heart attack the following month.

This extrodinary film contains exclusive interviews, as well as footage of the duo perfoming Bank Robber, White Riot and London's Burning, at what Mick described as an "old style Clash gig".  'The Last Night London Burned' is part of the Joe Strummer tribute night at The Left Field Stage, hosted by Don Letts & Dan Donovan (The Dub Cartel).

The Left Field Stage is programmed by Ethical Threads (www.ethicalthreads.co.uk), the fair trade merchandise company owned by Battersea & Wandsworth Trade Union Council Organising Centre, along with sister company, the Workers Beer Company.  The Field saw its inception at Glastonbury Festival in June 2002.  The concept of the area is to reaffirm the spirit of political debate at the festival, with a focus on international workers solidarity: to encourage young people in particular, the value of Trade Union membership.. This year's Left Field partners are The Co-operative Group (www.co-op.co.uk) and War on Want (www.waronwant.org).
