Field Day Festival Saved!

Originally scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday in Calverton, N.Y., a new venue was found in a last-ditch attempt to save the event. Riverhead Town Board last night refused to grant a 'mass gathering' permit. A similar permit had already been denied by Suffolk County, citing 'security and logistical' concerns. Original tickets will automatically be refunded, and those wishing to attend the one day event this Saturday will have to purchase new tickets.
