Scotland's festival season ends on a high note

The one day festival, staged on Glasgow Green, was organised by DF Concerts, the company behind T in the Park, T on the Fringe, Eminem at Hampden, Robbie at Murrayfield plus the King Tut's Wah Wah Hut venue. The line-up featured the Red Hot Chili Peppers (headlining), plus Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey, Electric Six and The Distillers. The festival was a sell-out (45,000 capacity).

Typically for Scotland the event passed without any major incidents. Chief Superintendent Kevin Smith of Strathclyde Police stated: " We have had three apprehensions in total, all for minor offences. This has been a good day for all concerned, with a well behaved crowd and no major problems". Eamonn Brankin, Event Medical Officer reported; " In total 79 people have presented for medical treatment, but nothing that is giving us any cause for concern. The only issue so far has been ensuring that we have good supplies of sunscreen, which has been in high demand due to the hot weather".
