Motorhead - A Night At the Opera
Sometimes festivals are about more than music, warm beer and sunburn. Sometimes they are about a genuine celebration of unique people, talents or places - joined by a common theme.
One Amazing Week's theme is the diversity of London's cultural life, and between the 22nd and 27th of February 2004 Londoners and visitors to London will have the chance to observe or take part in a wealth of completely unique experiences.
Most excitingly perhaps for us is the opening salvo - being fired as it is by the perenial Brit Rockers, Motorhead. As you'll see from our competitions page we have two pairs of tickets to give away to lucky readers, and we promise you this will be something very special indeed, as it isn't every day that Covent Garden's Royal Opera House plays host the likes of Lemmy & Co.
Later in the week you can savour everything from a painting by numbers interactive art exhibition that will recreate iconic paintings from the Tate and Jerry Hall attempt a world record number of West End performances in one night through to London Buses getting makeovers from the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Zandra Rhodes and premier footballers having a 'jumpers for goalposts' kickabout in Regents Park!
If you are in London next week then prepare to be witness to some once-in-a-lifetime fun!
