One of the biggest festivals of its kind in Germany, this free one-day festival attracts around 130,000 festival-goers each year. Held at a recreation area called Free Rheinaue, Bonn the event has had a host of top acts perform since it began in 1983.

All the action unfolds across five stages with music ranging from rock, pop and indie to hip hop, punk and electronica. Incubus, Suzanne Vega and Bloodhound Gang have all performed at recent festivals, so expect some big names in 2008.
