In the same ilk as the Carling Weekend in England, the simultaneously run Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals in Germany get the festival season off to a rocking start.
Rock Am Ring takes place at Nuburgring, mid-Germany while in the South East of the country Rock Im Park kicks off around the Nuremberg, Bavaria.
The festivals share an identical rotating line-up of the good and the great from the rock scene. Around 80 bands perform across three stages with The Smashing Pumpkins, Arctic Monkeys and The White Stripes all performing in 2007.
