STANDON CALLING 2008

Set in the grounds of a 16th century home in the Hertfordshire countryside the independent Standon Calling prides itself on its non-commercial ethics, right down to the pricing of the bars.

It also boasts an intimate and friendly atmosphere that it has upheld since it first began as a birthday party some seven years ago. Standon remains green wherever possible by sourcing local produce and actively promoting recycling.

It also boasts an intimate and friendly atmosphere that it has upheld since it first began as a birthday party some seven years ago. Standon remains green wherever possible by sourcing local produce and actively promoting recycling.

Musically the festival selects an eclectic choice of emerging artists with the likes of The Noisettes, Mr Hudson and the Library and The Rumble Strips all entertaining audiences last year.

And if all that wasn't enough the proceeds of the festival go to one local and one national charity each year.less
