Summer Sundae Weekender has quickly evolved in its eight year history, from its one day event with just two stages to the
current three day affair with five stages of music, comedy and cabaret.
The event won Best Small Festival in the 2006
UK Festival Awards and consistently boasts a well crafted multi-genre line-up that mixes contemporary and heritage artists
ranging from rock, pop and dance to roots and electronica.
Acts like DJ Yoda, The Magic Numbers, Seasick Steve and
punk-poet John Cooper Clarke attracted around 6,000 revellers each day last year and a similar mixture of artists can be expected
this time around.
The family friendly event means that children are catered for just as well as the parents. The Kid's
Zone provides relief for parents with face painting, children's shows, clowns, workshops and breakfast-time fun and bed-time
stories.
