Sziget Festival may be located on an island in the middle of the River Danube but it has attracts one of the worlds largest festival audiences with around 400,000 revllers attending annually.
Musically the event has a plethora of acts performing from a diverse selection of genres. With 24 stages and areas the festival has enough room to house the world-music, metal, rock, African, Latin, jazz and dance artists it selects.
The week long festival had acts like The Killers, The Chemical Brothers and Manu Chao performing last year with plenty of alternative entertainment to keep the hoards amused. Expect cinema, dance, theatre, tennis, bungee jumping and even a life sized foosball pitch!
